DIA DE LOS MUERTOS 2022

Our 2nd annual Dia de los Muertos as a community together. We'll create a community ofrenda: an altar to remember our loved ones who have passed on. Dia de los Muertos is about remembering, honouring and celebrating - we're forever connected. The evening before, we’ll show a movie about Dia de los Muertos to be enjoyed by all. Traditional food and drink will be available for purchase. RSVP is required to attend and capacity is limited. RSVP HERE.

‘TAMALES PARA NUESTRA COMUNIDAD’ CLASS and fundraiser WITH CHEF DEB

Learn how to make tamales while helping to raise funds for a local cause!

Tamales take a long time to prepare, and as a result it is usually a task taken on by a group all together.

This holiday season, take the ‘Tamales para nuestra Comunidad’ class with Chef Deb where we will learn to make tamales while sipping Mexican hot chocolate and sharing stories. A beautiful day spent in the kitchen together.

Group sizes will be limited and tickets will be made available to take part. Your ticket will include demonstration and instruction lead by Chef Deb, lunch, beverages, and one package of tamales to take home.

The tamales made in this class will be put to work for our community: we will freeze them in packs and sell them in support of both a local cause and a cause in Mexico by donating 100% of the profits and dividing them 50/50.

Fillings will be prepared in advance. This class will focus on preparation of the masa and assembly.

Haley will be making her infamous hand pies. We are excited for her buttery, flaky crust to meet the sweetness of Mexico. Pre-orders will be available soon or you can take your chances and walk in, she will be baking fresh pies all weekend long in her public debut as The Butter Witch!

JULY’S FEATURED BAKER: ADINA - LOVE’S GALETTES, ROUND 2

Adina, the creator behind Love’s Galettes, is joining us for round 2! This time, she’ll be in-store with a very special batch of cream puffs piped to order on Saturday and Sunday. Drawing inspiration from Mexico, she will create never-before-tasted cream puffs for us all to enjoy reminiscent of some of our favourite Mexican flavours. Can’t wait for this cream puff party!
